Hi All... we have database collectors that work fine but throughout the day, they simply stop reporting. We have our database controller on a separate machine from the MS SQL Servers and have the database monitoring running as a Windows Service on that controller.
The service never stops and there is no evidence in the event viewer logs (nor the agent logs) indicating any kind of shut down or restart of the service. Each time we see our db collectors not reporting, we check the windows service and it is still running.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? We love the db collectors when they are running - we'd simply like to keep them running.
