Hi, If there are multiple tiers (e.g. one web, one scheduled task) sending requests to a single service (e.g. a database), how to show load graph of requests from a specific tier (so that we can balance the load such as start the scheduled task only when the low web load is low)?

app agent not reporting to controller even after restart
Hi Team,
we have deployed appd app agent and machine agent on application server. its a oracle weblogic server. in one server there are 5 jvm instances so we deployed 5 appd appa agent and one machine agent on the server. after instrumnetation we restarted the jvm through weblogic console 4 out of 5 reported and are working fine but one appd app agent is not reporting. machine agent is working fine.
can any one plz help us in resloving this issue. as this is critical.

Synthetic job does not run due to time limit of 5 min
Hi,
I have configured a sythetic job and scheduled it to run every 10 mins. When I look into the result it failed. The error is:
0.00s [INFO] Starting measurement [160511_Y2_6F8] 0.47s [INFO] Executing WebDriver script 300.47s [ERROR] Script timed out after 300 seconds
Does this mean we cannot run test cases that take more than 5 mins?
Please advice how to run a job that takes over 5mins.

Agent attaches to running JVM and shows heap but no business transactions
Hi,
My agent agents to a running JVM and shows heap, etc, but not any business transactions.
I get this error in the Java Control Panel right after the agent starts:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.singularity.ee.agent.appagent.kernel.JavaAgent.redefineAllClassesNeeded()
The agent logs are clean though. No errors. Any thoughts?

Splunk Integration - Extra Query Parameters
Are there AppDynamic variables available to place in the "Extra Query Parameters" section of the splunk integration?
We would like to further refine the splunk query by adding the AppDynamics Tier Name as an additional search parameter.

SNMP trap not reaching receiver
We have enabled snmp trap by following below article.

Test trap reached receiver successfully.
we have enabled EUM alert fand added snmp trap alert and mail id to it for notifications.
We are receiving EUM alert over mail while it breaches threshold.
But snmp trap not reaching receiver.
If test trap able to reach receiver, why actual event not able to reach receiver ?
do we need to add any parameters in EUM alert to make it success?
we checked in log, it shows snmp trap sent successfully.

Sybase ASE 12.5 Database Monitoring
Hello Team,
I am using the database type Sybase ASE 12.5.0.3 Database server (installed with MDA Tables and it configuration parameters) then using appdynamics collector connected the database and the connection is sucessfull. I am not able to view the following features in database monitoring. Required database permission also given as per appdynamics documentation for sybase.

- Database Clients Window
- Database Sessions Window
- Databases Window
- Database Live view --> Query Wait States
Please advise me whether the above mentioned list is supported and if it is able to view for sybase ASE 12.5 database

AppDynamics Agent in Glassfish doesn't report in
The AppDynamics agent in Glassfish will shutdown if it detects memory pressure. We should be alerted if the agent hasn't reported in within a predetermined period as this could indicate that there are problems on the Glassfish server.

Tracking Video View
Hello,
We had instrument our SharePoint environment (Windows Server).
Everything works fine.
I get also a business transaction from one Page (Subsite from Intrnaet), for example:
http://zintranet/services/it-sec
I get all requests from this page over EUM and I made a dashboard, with requests per minute.
Also fine.
Now my question:
On this page there are two webparts, they stream two different .mp4 videos.
Thoose videos are not storted at SharePoint SQL Server, no, they are stored at another Windows IIS Web Server because thoose videos very big.
I can download the videos from every browser, with URL: htp://zvideo/intranet/sec.mp4
Also the download - stream works at SharePoint.
Now I want to treck, how often this videos are seen from our users.
I tried also to instrument the IIS Server (store the two videos).
The server and application is listed at AD but I get no business transaction when SharePoint open the videos or I open the video directly at Browser.
I don't know, how can I treck the mp4 videos, to count, how often they are viewed from our users.
I hope somebody understand my question and can help me :-)

Hi Horst,
.Net Agent can only instrument .Net Applications. Since in your case the files are just hosted on IIS, no .Net runtime is involved when these files are requested and hence you do not see any BTs.
I don't think we can get any information by instrumenting the site hosting these mp4 files.
I think we will need to capture this info via EUM only until it can be captured at SharePoint Server side.
One idea can be to add Custom User Data to a Page Browser Snapshot when ever user requests the video

If root node of the call graph itself is showing 10 ms difference from the total executed time then most likely you are referring to a partial snapshot and not full snapshot. Can you confirm that ?

I troubleshot this with two AppD technicians.
We just ignored the error in the jcontrol panel: "java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.singularity.ee.agent.appagent.kernel.JavaAgent
We created a custom POJO out of a class.method we found in the ByteCodeTransformer log and the transactions appeared.
