Hi Support Team,
Please reply me for my query !!!
Hi
we have licence for server monitoring as well as data Monitoring. Dbaagentt is running fine but Machine agent hoping running but not geting any data. Attached screen shot for help.
Hi John
You can try to use
You can also use curl to generate the certificate
echo -n 'demouser@customer1:passwordxxx' | openssl base64
and then:
You can provide granular access to pre-existing dashboards via the Administration/Roles. You can create a role and assign a combination of View, Edit & Delete permissions. New dashboards will inherit the permissions associated with the 'Default' dashboard.
Hi
Have you checked in the GUI? Screenshot actually doesn't help. Can you check the machineagent.log file and see if anything meaningful?
Have you enabled SIM ? https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO42/Enable+Server+Monitoring
Are you on SaaS or OnPrem Controller?
You can also check if your agent reports in the AppDynamics -> Admin page (click on the upper right wheel icon to find this meanu) and go to Machine agent

I suspect that the problem relates to the quotes in the Exception Message <Contains> field.
Unless you want to match actual quotes in the error message (in which case they should probably be escaped), they don't belong.

Hi Afreen,
This forum is a collaborative one and can't replace support (https://www.appdynamics.com/support/). So we do our best to help you as soon as we can.
Can you give us a bit more context to what you are trying to do?
Do you have a Java or .Net or any other AppServer agent on the same instance?
Have you checked if your agent reports correctly (settings button on the upper right corner then AppDynamics agent)?
You can also check machine agent log file (machineagentinstalldir/log/machineagent.log file).
Thanks
JB
Hi Ahmed
Can you check permissions on your javaagent.jar file? The user running the java script to attach needs to have access to the file (and RW on the whole directory). Have you unzipped the AppServerAgent into this POC directory?

I'm trying to understand how to delete a business transaction. It looks like I am hitting the 200 Business Transaction limit because we used auto discovery for our applications. I still see these business transactions on the slow thresholds list but cannot figure out where the delete button is for them. I have updated auto discovery rules for the application to stop discovering transactions but they still show up on the Slow Thresholds list and my new business transaction is still under "All other traffic"
Hi
Followed all the steps in documentation and sim_enabled property to true. Got some info from Machine agent log file which i am sharing with you.
'[main] 10 Oct 2016 13:01:59,966 INFO FlexibleX509TrustManager - Using default keystore for SSL certificate validation. [main] 10 Oct 2016 13:02:00,216 INFO HostIdProvider - Default Host Identifier Resolver using host name for unique host identifier [xxxxxxx] [system-thread-0] 10 Oct 2016 13:02:02,810 INFO SecondStageSystem - Starting main system with features Features(features=[], reason=Features.Reason(message=Unsuccessful leasing a Server Monitoring license, code=License Lease Failed))
Here you have... License issue. Have you reached the maximum number? You can check it out in the AppDynamics license page (settings on the right upper corner).

Thank you!
yes i have checked them and i have no issues in permission
re: Documentation. Please see https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO42/Install+the+Java+Agent - in step 5 of Configure the Java Agent, both account name and account access key are mentioned.
Which link is not working for you? Both the solutions link and the link to the log files work for me.
Is there a way to configure notification emails (from Health Rule alerts and Email Digests) to include more information about the event? For example, when the email comes for a slow, very slow or stalled Business Transaction it would be nice to see the Business Transaction name (and response time) in the notificaiton email so we don't have to click on the link to launch AppDynamics to view the details.
Basically I don't want to get these 2 Errors, what should I do?
Hi Bdixon,
You can create your own email template using the list of predefined variables available.

Hi Vishram
Would be great to get more info on your problem. This is pretty difficult for us to tell you what is wrong given your problem statement.
Couple of things to qualify:
* What's the application / technology stack you try to monitor?
* Have you deployed agents, which type? Is that the first deployment?
* Are your agents reporting? Have you checked agent log files and controller UI (Settings -> AppD agents) to see if they report
Have you been through the doc? It's easy to search and a lot of info there
