Were there any java updates (such as patch installs) or changes to Java command line options around Feb 10th ?You could also try enabling verbose logging to see if you get the stack trace for this error.

Thanks - there was a release on Feb 10th, but none of the contents seem to imply a chance to the underlying Java version. I'll check with the Java team.
